The innovation of renowned interior
designer Stephanie Tyler, Open Doors is a contemporary
furniture and furnishings boutique that opened in
the “MiMo on BiBo” District (Miami Modern
on Biscayne Boulevard) on November 17, 2007.
The 4,000 square foot boutique is located in a “contributing” building
designated by the Historic Preservation Society. Open
Doors’ minimalist and modern architecture features
a concrete façade to achieve strong vertical
geometry. Similarly, the interior pays homage
to this aesthetic in a stylistic manner that is urban,
refined yet industrial.
Miami Modern is a uniquely North American architectural
design spanning three decades post-World War II. The
look is unrestrained, buoyant, and joyous; above all,
it is fun as evinced by details resembling boomerangs,
accordion fin walls and cheese-hole masonry, tempered
by sleek, elegant, daring angles and lines.
Open Doors is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00
a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Sunday from Noon to 6:00 p.m. and
is Closed
on Mondays.
Interior design consultations are available by appointment.
